The Insta360 degree One X is a compact and feature packed 360 degree camera. It can be used in a wide range of non-rugged environments for capturing professional and clean footage. It takes photos in 18 MP while it has different resolution options when it comes to video recording. It can record at 5.7k @ 30fps, 4k @ 50fps and 3k @ 100fps. The camera’s FlowState stabilization ensures that the video recording is smooth on every resolution.
Ease of use is one of the key selling points of this camera. The body is compact, easy to hold and portable. Moreover, all operations are performed using its 2 buttons. To monitor the navigation in the settings menu, the camera has bright OLED display. The QuickCapture mode helps with the usability of the camera especially in scenarios like riding a bike where it is not safe to look at the screen and navigate the menu. By long pressing the shutter button, the camera enters QuickCapture mode and starts recording right away.
Some cameras do not facilitate in extraction of standard video from a 360 degree recording. This is not the case with One X as it can be done easily using its intuitive app. By entering the ViewFinder mode, the 360 degree video is played again and you can re-record the current view displayed on the screen as a regular video. The great thing about this extracted video is its high quality which means that one can extract videos from different interesting and creative perspectives.
