We have seen that many YouTube geeks were saying that the next iPhone will come with a virtual keyboard, and you will be able to project the keyboard on any surface. Many versions of the iPhone were released, but we did not see this feature in any release yet.
What is a Virtual Keyboard?
Have you seen any movie on a projector? The virtual keyboard will be the same as a movie on the wall. You will see the buttons and keys like a movie on any surface. You will press the displayed key on the surface, and that word will be typed on your screen.
Was this Fake News?
As far as the iPhone is concerned, they are not going to introduce a virtual keyboard in any of their devices. But the good news is that the virtual keyboard exists. You may not have seen many of these in public use, but companies are working to introduce these keyboards on the market level.
How does it work?
This keyboard consists of a camera and IR scanner that detect the position of the user’s fingers, and when the user touches any key on the projected display, the camera and scanner analyze the position of the finger with the pre-determined map, and that specific key is displayed on the computer screen.
Why is it not in Public Use?
We may not see a lot of such keyboards as a lot of improvements and upgrades are required to make it usable for the public. The size needs to be more compact, and the technology and precision also require more advanced approaches.
